Allenwood is located off of Gum Tree Road and is within walking or biking distance to the Hilton Head Island school cluster, the Island Recreation Center and north end shopping and markets. Palmetto Dunes Plantation is a 2,000 acre resort and residential community with three miles of beach, excellent golf courses, a deep water harbor and many shops and restaurants. This plantation has an eleven mile lagoon system which is supported by water from Broad Creek and can be used for canoeing, kayaking and fishing.
Sea Pines Plantation is located at the southern tip of HIlton Head Island. Sea Pines is the oldest and largest planned community on the Island. Approximately 1,300 acres are devoted to parks, forest preserves, lagoons and marshlands. Sea Pines is home to the Heritage Classic golf tournament on the PGA tour.
